9. The Cabinet had before them a Memorandum by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Paper C.P.393(26)) covering a draft Chine Indemnity (Amendment) Bill providing for the appointment of a Board of Trustees by the Govern- ment of the Republic of China after e naultation with and in agreement with His Majesty'■ Government, and indicating in very general terms that the Board, in applying the Fund, shall have regard to the general schemes and principles recommended and adopted by the Statutory Committee set up by the Act passed in June, 1925.
Certain criticims of detail were raised in regardto the Bill, and, as, for Parliamentary reasons, it could not be introduced
within the next week, it was reserved for consideration by the Committee of Home Affairs,
